Compassionate Cymru is keen to establish a North Wales presence and has a new Community Link Worker post for the region. The online meeting running 10-12 AM on Tuesday 17th November 2020 is an opportunity to shape how Compassionate Cymru will work synergistically with existing initiatives to inform the vision for the Community Link Worker role. The meeting will be jointly facilitated by Compassionate Cymru and staff from the School of Health Sciences at Bangor University.
The ambition is for Wales to become a Compassionate Country. Volunteering, helping, neighbouring, whatever we might call it, has the power to enrich and support people to participate more fully in relationships with others.
The meeting will provide an opportunity to:
- Discuss ‘wishes and ambitions’ for the new role
- Share learning that will help translate ‘wishes’ into realities
- Shape an action plan that will put learning into practice
Why should I attend?
We appreciate current pressures. However, this short meeting is important for people who are striving for a compassionate Wales. The meeting will inform the Link Worker role from its inception and build a firm foundation for future working and collaboration.

Please note that the Zoom meeting will be recorded so that all learning is captured.
